The design has three features. Firstly, food relating to kouji is displayed along the path of the flow so that any passer-by can see it. As it’s situated in the apparel sales floor, we aimed at showing the products just like pieces of clothing. Secondly, we staged the essence of street. While adhering to the floor concept for all the shops in the building, we vividly emphasized the brand concept of the shop as well. To achieve that, we carefully designed the details of the partition as a boundary with which we arranged the integrated long bench, imagining the flow of customers holding the products on crowded weekends. Finally, we considered the affinity of materials. We expressed the images kouji reminds us of, such as naturalness, minuteness and softness, through woodwool cement boards on the wall, the detailed marble mosaic tiles, and the design of wood grain. Those materials with simple light create shadows, to make a parallel
to the products.

In order to increase the seating efficiency and to appeal the products, the sales counter is pushed forward to eliminate the mix of buyers and residents. The image shows that the display of fresh food, the food and drink scene on the waiting bench, and the transparent seats in the back are recognized as a united scene and the whole feeling is produced.
